This evening, the Seattle International Film Festival, the largest in the US, will host a virtual class on Italian history, cinema and food.
Dr. Antonio Iannotta will lead “Bread, Love, and Cinema: Italian History Through Film and Food,” taking students on a journey through Italy’s most important films since 1948 and every notable meal captured on film.
Dr. Iannotta is a film curator and professor of Italian Studies at the University of San Diego. He also directs the San Diego Italian Film Festival.
By the end of the two-hour class, students will have a better idea of how food in cinema tells the history of Italy.
To attend the Webinar register online. The class will be held from 7-9 pm PST via Zoom. The first 100 sign-ups can win a free Neapolitan pizza from Tutta Bella (if you live in the Seattle area.)
