Another pasta expert will be the guest at #BUTTALAPASTA, La Cucina Italiana USA Instagram Live events with Editor in Chief Maddalena Fossati.
Silvia Barban is chef and owner of LaRina Pastificio e Vino in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, and was a contestant on Season 14 of Bravo’s popular Top Chef show. Born and raised in Northern Italy, Chef Barban worked in the kitchen of the legendary Master of Italian cuisine, Gualtiero Marchesi. After an experience as a pastry chef with Giancarlo Perbellini, she moved to New York in 2012 for the opening of Giovanni Rana Pastificio e Cucina where she worked as a sous chef, moving later on to Aita restaurant where she became executive chef.
In 2016, she opened LaRina Pastificio e Vino, a restaurant with a wide variety of natural wines and a homemade pasta shop.
