Puttanesca is typical from southern Italy, particularly Campania and Lazio, but is prepared throughout Italy and it's perfect for spaghetti or linguine. Cook the authentic Italian recipe prepared in the video, it's very simple.
Pasta alla Puttanesca Recipe
ingredients:
1 LB. of peeled tomatoes
12.5 OZ. of linguine
3.5 OZ. of pitted black olives from Gaeta
3.5 OZ. of salted anchovies
2 OZ. of saltpacked capers
1 clove of garlic
1 chili pepper
Extra virgin olive oil
Parsley
Salt
Method:
Sauté 1 clove of garlic, a small piece of chili pepper and the anchovies in plenty of oil until they have melted. Remove the garlic and add the tomatoes, crushing them with a spoon; add the olives, cut into small pieces, and the capers. Cook for about 10-15 minutes.
Meanwhile boil the linguine in salted boiling water. Drain al dente and pour into the pan with the sauce. Complete the pasta with a handful of chopped parsley and serve.
